new design
I'm trying to find artists to draw my next tattoo. The last 4 people I arranged to draw it either got tied up in other projects, or disappeared off the face of the internet...

Anyone have a recommendation on someone who may be willing to help me out? I'm not too well-off on cash, and the spare pennies are going into the savings jar to actually get the tattoo, so I don't have much to pay someone to draw it up.

So, after years and years of looking for a design, I finally took the plunge about a month ago and got inked over at Guru Tattoo in San Jose. Design by Grisser, ink work by Cory@Guru. Took 4 hours from start to finish, but it looks -amazing- even now.

Pics here.

Distinctive markings
I designed and got this tattoo done last year as my second tattoo. Never got around to posting it and when I did was encouraged to post it here as well.

Seems to take some people a little bit to figure it out though.

Couple questions for the artist out there
I was wondering if the tattoo artist in here would give me some info.

I ask once before about a location for a tattoo and think I described it wrong I said wrist when I meant up the arm just above the wrist. Is this a alright place for a tattoo to be done and how well does this location hold the ink?

Also what is the color closes to woad? I've read that indigo is the color. Does that sound right?

And last any advice on white ink tattoos. Thinking ahead I might want my second tattoo to be a simple white ink tattoo around the ankle.

What is the best way to find a competent artist to do the work? I live in Utah if anyone could point me towards a good person.

Anyway thx for my dumb questions and your time yet again.

Hai Agains!
I thought I'd share some more of my work. I'm ordering some new supplies, so I'll have more up there soon.

Sorry if not all of it is "furry", but a lot of them are nature based, and whatnot.

Hope ya'll enjoy!! :3

[ edit ] Yeah...and I might want to post a link...so you can, you know...look at it. :P

Another sitting for my sleeve
So today was another tattoo sitting with my artist. It has been a while, but we got started on the next stage of my sleeve and I am so stoked for the next sitting in about a week when we will do a bit of shading on the rocks that the tiger is standing on.

Images behind cut.Collapse )

This was a 5 hour sitting to get the work done, and that makes it the longest sitting I have done yet for the tattoo. As I said the rocks that the tiger is standing on will be wash shaded with some darker areas as well to give it some depth. Next month I will go in for colour on the tiger, and we will then start on the largest of the pieces which will probably be an 8 hour or longer sitting.

Hope you all enjoy!

waxy monkey frog
waxy monkey frog #17

I did this one last night on my friend who is not a furry, but loves all of his little froggies. He actually has several frogs and a giant squid that other artists have put on him.

I've just started my own tattoo business called Feral Tattoo. I'm currently building up my portfolio as well as practicing my skills on friends who are willing to become a practice canvas. For the remainder of the year, I'm doing free tattoos on friends. If you are interested, drop me a line and I'll let you know my calendar of availability.

Second Session
Second session done, and figured I should show off the latest work on the tattoo.

Cut for your pleasureCollapse )

So that is the next stage.. This was a 3.5 hour session in the chair, and I love how it has turned out. There is still a lot of redness, but then again this is only 2 hours old ;)

Here is a treat for everyone, I have also uploaded some of the video from my first session to YouTube. Check it out behind the cut.

VideoCollapse )

If you are coming to Fur Fright this weekend, I will be there, and you can see it in person. Just keep an eye out for me :)

Have fun peeps.

Started my Sleeve.
I started my sleeve today. This was just a 2 hour sitting.

Cut for image dump and words.Collapse )

I am so pleased with it, I knew I made the right choice, and I have total confidence that this will be an amazing tattoo. We next colour the bear after this heals up.

Touched-up Tat
Hey guys, I don't remember if I ever posted a pic of my first tat on this community (got it July 2002, so it's been a while). Anyways, I got it touched-up last year, and I figured I'd finally share it with y'all.

Just in case you want to compare, here's a picCollapse ) of what it used to look like.

Also, cookie for the person who can translate it. ;-)

UV Reactive
I'm very interested in getting sleeves done. However, my employers would be less than pleased, making me consider alternatives to traditional tattoos. The FDA has approved it for things like marking fish, though I've read stories that this can actually shorten a fish's lifespan. I've read the warnings on UV ink, but looking for more hands on experience from people that have had it done, or artists that have used it.

A couple question
Can anyone tell me how bad it is to get a tat on the inner wrist? And what price I should expect for a two inch by one inch one color tattoo.

My roo and healing questions?
Here are some pics of my roo tattoo that I got a couple weeks ago. Art was done by me. I love how it came out, and it was my first tattoo.

Its everything I could have asked for, but its been about 2 weeks now and my skin is INSANELY itchy all the time. Its kind of raised up too. I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen and what the best suggestion is for remedies. I've tried to keep the lotion they told me to keep on it, but it doesn't seem to help much lately. I'm really trying not to mess with it but its driving me batty. I'm hoping that I'm not allergic to the ink. I know that reds are a little more allergy prone for people, but I'm not ususally an allergic person.

HELP MEEEEEEEEE ::scratches self:: lol

Sorry for spam
I just felt like getting the word out to as many furries as I can so that the results may be more accurate.

New guy
Hi, i'm demens and live in Houston. Been in the furry fandom for about 9 years now (will be 25 in July), and I have wanted a tattoo since I was 7/8 when I saw my first one. Finally got some work done (behind cut) and spent over the course of 3 weeks a combined total of 14 hours in the chair... I'm really looking at getting more done, since ink is a disease with no cure. Anyways, it is f'n cool that this community exists, and I hope to have more pics of new stuff for you guys shortly!
